Political Activity

Housing is neither a Democratic nor a Republican issue.  It is an American issue.

The Master Builders Association of Pierce County Affordable Housing Council (MBAPCAHC) is the MBA’s political action committee.  By supporting housing-friendly candidates on both sides of the aisle, MBAPCAHC continues to open doors at city hall and is one of the most powerful political action committees in Pierce County.

MBAPCAHC relies on your support to lay the foundation for future success that will continue to benefit our industry for generations to come.  As a result of you and your peers’ commitment during the 2008 through 2011 election cycles, MBAPCAHC was able to support candidates for state, county and city races and succeeded in helping the sitting County Executive and all seven County Council members, the County Auditor, the Mayor of Tacoma and three Tacoma City Council members, and many other cities’ council members win.

The 2012 election cycle is very important for the future of housing – the County Executive and four County Council races as well as 23 state legislators will be on the ballot. We must work aggressively to raise the necessary funds to keep our pro-housing candidates in office.
