Code of Ethics

As a member of the Master Builders Association of Pierce County, I aspire:

To be ever mindful of my responsibility to the Master Builders Association of Pierce County (MBAPC), and through the conduct of my business indicate to the public that membership in this organization is an assurance of fair dealings.

To say or print nothing that may reflect unfavorably on others for personal gain and to dedicate myself to the work of cementing together the members of our profession in bonds of friendship, good‑fellowship and mutual understanding.

To provide in each transaction fair and just compensation for services rendered and never to take unfair advantage in our business practices and methods.

To provide information and to educate the public concerning the advantages of home ownership.

To keep unbroken all my promises and to meet my obligations in accordance with established and accepted credit procedures.

To cooperate with our public officials and comply with all laws and regulations concerning the business in which I am engaged.

To remember that in building my business it is not necessary to tear down another's ‑ to be loyal to my customers and true to myself.

To employ only skilled craftsmen of good reputation and compensate them adequately, according to their individual ability, and make them aware of the Association’s Performance Guidelines.

To provide equal opportunity in education, employment, membership, and contact without regard to race, ethnicity, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, marital status, the presence of any sensory, mental or physical disability, or status as a veteran to the extent required by law.

To conduct my affairs as to inspire in others engaged in the home building industry to full appreciation of the spirit and meaning of this Code of Ethics, and a comprehension of the value of a membership in an organization which recognizes such a Code.
